Filling:
1 kg. apples

Grate the apples on a coarse grater and mix with sugar.
Separately, mix flour, semolina, sugar and soda well.
Place 1/3 of the flour mixture in a greased form, level it, put half of the applesauce on it, also level it, then a layer of flour mixture and again a layer of apples. The last one is the flour mixture.
Place pieces of butter on top.




Bake in the oven until done, then divide into 8 cakes.




Notes:
1. It is better to take apples that are sour, and if they are very sweet, add a little citric acid. You don’t have to peel the apples, but without the skin they turn out more tender. If there are not enough apples or they are not juicy, then the very bottom flour layer will not be saturated and will remain dry (this usually happens to those who bake for the first time), but this does not affect the taste of the rest.

2. The apple mixture should be placed on the flour mixture in small piles. If you lay out the whole mass at once, it will be difficult to evenly level it.

3. The pie turns out very sweet. For those who do not like too sweet baked goods, I advise you to reduce the sugar content.

4. For those who are not afraid of fatty foods, you can put 200g of butter, it turns out tastier. If the butter is frozen, you can grate it.

5. The result is a cake, but because it is so soft, it is very difficult to remove from the pan whole, so the recipe recommends cutting it into cakes. I tried once to line the mold with cooking paper so that I could then use it to remove the whole pie from the mold, but it turned out worse because the apple juice flowed under the paper and less was absorbed into the dry mixture.

6. It turns out delicious if you replace the apples with pumpkin, but it will be a bit drier.

Prepare products for the test. I doubled the amount of ingredients and made a pie with a diameter of 26 cm.

I remember this recipe from my school days. It was then, during labor lessons, that I first heard that there are different types of baking dough - shortbread, biscuit, puff pastry or yeast. I even found out about it. Our teacher Faina Vasilievna told us all this and dictated different recipes for cookies or simple pies. It was from her that I learned this recipe - cookies with milk powder.

Despite the fact that my mother baked delicious cakes and cookies at home, the teacher was still a great authority for me, so I often came home from school and taught my mother how to properly run a household according to the notes and advice of the labor teacher.

Then I tried many interesting recipes. Of course, not everything worked out flawlessly for me, but my mother did not pay attention to my failures, but rather supported me in my culinary endeavors.

And when I brought the recipe for such cookies from school, I surprised even my mother, because she had previously prepared such dough with whole milk, but here the composition included powdered milk. My mother and I tried the recipe that same evening, and since then these cookies have become our favorites. Moreover, there are no difficulties in preparation: the dough is quickly kneaded and, using a pastry bag, laid out in strips on a prepared baking sheet. Like any “sand”, such cookies are baked for no more than 12-15 minutes at medium heat. Then, if desired, sprinkle with powder or pour over melted chocolate or glaze and serve with tea.



- whole wheat flour – 250 g,
- chicken egg (table egg) – 2 pcs.,
- butter (butter, ghee) – 100 g,
- powdered sugar – 120 g,
- milk (powdered) – 130 g,

Preparation:




The first thing we do is beat the eggs into a deep container and add powdered sugar and milk powder (by the way, you can use dry baby formula, which also contains milk powder).




Stir the mixture until smooth.




Then melt the butter (it is better to take butter with a fat content of at least 82.5%) and add it to the resulting mixture.






Sift the flour several times to get rid of lumps and saturate it with oxygen. We also add vanilla sugar and cinnamon (add flavorings as desired; you can, for example, use coffee extract or lemon zest).




Add flour to the mixture and knead the dough with your hands.
Do not overdo it with flour, the dough should be very tender, soft and slightly stick to your hands.




Then we transfer the mixture into a pastry bag and form it into beautiful sticks, which we place on a prepared baking sheet (lined with paper or a silicone mat).
Bake cookies at 180 degrees for no more than 12-15 minutes.




Let them cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired and serve with tea.

Everyone loves fruit and berry pies. But some people don’t like to fuss with dough.. I suggest baking a simple apple pie - no fuss with the dough, because there is no dough (in the usual sense). And there are no eggs in it - it seems to me that this is the second plus of the recipe, especially for those who, for whatever reason, do not eat eggs. Despite the fact that the cake takes a long time to bake, it only takes 15-20 minutes to prepare - and then the oven does its best without your participation. While you're having dinner, dessert is ready. This is the third plus. You can change the filling - add your favorite fruits or berries (fourth plus). Finally, this is an alternative to slightly boring charlottes and manna cakes! Shall we try?

Simple apple pie

20 minutes to prepare, 60-75 minutes to bake. No eggs. Juicy filling and crispy sugar crust.

Notes:

A). The pie is quite sweet, so it is better to take sour or sweet and sour apples. And hard - very soft apples will become a homogeneous mass, which, however, will not at all affect the taste of the pie, but only the structure.

b). Apples can be replaced with other fruits and berries, the main thing is that they are JUICY!!!

1. Combine sugar, semolina, salt and flour, sifted with baking powder, in a bowl. Mix so that all components are distributed evenly. This will be the "dough".

2. Now for the filling. Peel and chop the apples into thin strips or small cubes. You can even grate it on a coarse grater, but I prefer it with straws - it makes the structure of the pie more interesting. If you grate it, the “layering” will be more distinct, and the layer of apple filling will be denser and more uniform.

3. Line the pan with baking paper - this will make it easier to remove and the cake will not break. Pour about a third of the dry mixture onto the bottom of the mold, maybe even less than a third - no special precision is needed, “by eye”. Place half of the apples evenly, maybe press lightly. Top with more or less evenly half of the remaining mixture. I add it with a tablespoon. Another layer of apples. Cinnamon or vanilla sugar if you like. And the remaining dry mixture.

4. Before putting in the oven, place shavings of butter on the surface of the future pie. You can grate the butter by freezing it first - this will be more convenient and uniform. Bake at 160 - 180 degrees. approximately 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes.

If the top of the cake doesn’t brown well, you can increase the temperature by 20 degrees at the end of baking, 15 minutes before it’s ready.

I baked for 1 hour 15 minutes in a convection oven at 160 degrees, which corresponds to 180 degrees. conventional oven.

You can bake this pie not only with apples. During the season I made it with raspberries and red currants, very tasty. I think you can try it with plums, they are quite juicy. And here are some more:

Pie with apples and lingonberries

A wonderful combination - sour lingonberries in a sweet pie! Lingonberries are not particularly juicy, and I replaced only a third of the apples with them. I didn’t defrost the berries, I placed them (fresh from the freezer) on top of the last layer of apples.

Before baking, I sprinkled the pie with walnuts. You can serve a scoop of ice cream with the hot pie, it’s delicious!

Pie with apples and cherries

It turned out very “cherry”, juicy and aromatic. For half a kilo of apples - a bag of frozen cherries. The first layer of filling is apples plus some cherries, cut into halves and placed cut side down. The second “filling” layer is only cherries. The cherries need to be slightly defrosted, so that the berries are no longer hard, but have not yet released the juice. Then, during baking, it will slowly release the juice, and the cake will be evenly soaked. And so you may have to bake a little longer.
