The next World of Tanks update should be expected in the fall of 2017. Naturally, it will not do without corrections for researchable vehicles, AP or NERFs for tanks. Also, maybe new LBZ 2.0 will finally be announced, or maybe not. More detailed information about the update and patch will be gradually filled out. The release dates for update 9.20.1 will be indicated in this article.

In the new patch we have reworked the LBZ. And these are not only changes in conditions, with adjustments to difficulty or changed “random” conditions - we made a new, convenient interface and revised the mechanics of completing task chains.

A little about the interface: the entry point to personal combat missions will be changed, now it will be in the hangar header, between “Tasks” and “Achievements” new inset“Campaign” (the name is not final and may change).
— In the hangar, the LBZ is placed in a separate button.
— The main menu of LBZ has also been redesigned. The interface now displays the required order of execution of Operations and Combat Missions.
— New interface for selecting an operation, where you can see the progress of execution. The progress of tasks can now be monitored on a specially created tactical map. This screenshot shows the completion of all 15 KBs with honors.

// New mechanics for completing combat missions: there are no more reward sheets. Now for completing the final mission from the branch you will receive a tank module, and for completing it with honors you will also receive an order form.

“Modules” are needed to receive a reward tank - completed all five KB chains and received the tank. But the “Order Form” is more interesting, because... it allows you to skip completing any combat mission. That's right - if you get stuck on a task, you can now skip it if you previously managed to complete any final KB with honors and receive the main reward for it. Including the final combat mission, but to skip it you will need as many as 4 order forms. A little more difficult, but worth it. By the way, you can then re-fulfill the task and get the “Order Form” back, it is reusable. Also, “Order Forms” are accumulated and transferred to the next operation, i.e. over time, as you accumulate, you will be able to skip the execution of not one chain of knowledge bases, but several. If “Order Forms” are enough, of course.
The progress of completing the LBZ, of course, is carried out and after the update is released, you will receive “Order Forms” for all completed final KB with honors - provided that you did not miss the final Combat missions. And a reward for fulfilling the main conditions of the missed final Combat missions. For example, if you completed Operation StugIV and Operation T-28 HTC, skipping the SPG chains, we will give you a reward for the main conditions. But these are two additional tankers, by the way.

— Other changes: But that’s not all. We've added a lot of new things: new rewards, revised the mechanics of recruiting tank girls (now you don't have to get it to start performing the following operations), and so on.

Large-scale update of the first campaign of Personal combat missions “Long-awaited reinforcements”

The essence of the changes

  • The visual and audio components of personal combat missions have been completely redesigned.
  • Completely new and unique rewards have been added.
  • The conditions of the tasks have been revised so that the main reward for the operation is always relevant for the player.
  • “Order Forms” have been added, which will greatly facilitate the execution of personal combat missions.
  • You can learn about changes to personal combat missions from special video, available directly in the game.

Interface and sound

— All interfaces of personal combat missions have been redesigned:

1. The entry point to personal combat missions has been changed: it is now located on the top panel of the Hangar under the “Battle!” button. and is called “Campaigns”;
2. Added the “General Staff” screen with a map of all operations;
3. The operations screen has been completely redesigned: now it is geographic map with tasks in the form of areas on it;
4. The campaign rewards screen has been completely redesigned:
a) Now the main reward - the car - is located in the center of the screen;
b) Operation statistics have been added: now you know how many credits you can still earn.

— New added musical accompaniment:
1. A music track was recorded specifically for personal combat missions;
2. Added interactive musical accompaniment: the more tasks completed within one branch, the more intense the music.

A new way to receive reward cars

“Award lists” have been removed, and instead “Components” of the vehicle have been introduced:

1. To receive a reward vehicle for an operation, you must collect all 5 components: hull, suspension, gun, power plant and radio;
2. Each component has its own branch of tasks in the operation:
a) Power plant - task branch for light tanks;
b) Chassis - task branch for medium tanks;
c) Hull (+ turret or wheelhouse) - task branch for heavy tanks;
d) Weapon - task branch for tank destroyers;
e) Radio station - task branch for self-propelled guns.
3. To receive the component, you must complete the final fifteenth task in the corresponding branch.

Order forms

Added a new entity “Order Forms”:

1. To earn an order form, you must complete any finishing task of any branch with honors;
2. Order forms can be included (that is, applied) to any tasks. Thus:
a) The selected task will be automatically considered completed without distinction;
b) You will receive a reward for the main conditions of the task;
c) The spent order form will remain included in the task;
d) The pledged order form does not disappear, but is temporarily frozen until you take it back.
3. To pick up the enclosed order form, you must complete the task in which it is enclosed with honors. This way you get your order form back and can use it again.
4. The number of order forms required to be included in the tasks:
a) For any task from 1 to 14 - 1 order form;
b) In task 15 - 4 order forms.

To summarize: Order forms can be used to skip tasks that are difficult or uninteresting to you. And most importantly: you can place order forms in the final, fifteenth task in the branch, even if you have not yet completed the previous 14 tasks. Thus, you can instantly obtain the 5th missing component of the machine by completing 4 task branches with honors.

New rewards

1. Added a new reward - stripes:
a) In each operation you can earn 2 stripes:
* The II degree badge is issued simultaneously with the receipt of the award vehicle;
* The 1st degree badge is awarded for completing all 75 tasks of a specific operation with distinction.
b) For completing all tasks in all operations you receive a special unique patch “Champion of the 1st Campaign”
2. Added a new reward - camouflage schemes:
a) In each operation you can earn a set of 3 (summer, winter, desert) unique camouflage schemes:
* A set of 3 camouflage schemes for a reward vehicle is issued for completing all 75 missions of the operation;
* The same set of circuits is unlocked for use on all vehicles of the same nation as the award vehicle for completing all 75 missions with distinction.

Changing task conditions

Objectives in each operation have been revised to increase relevance main award. For example, now all tasks from the “StuG IV” operation can be completed on Tier V vehicles, from the “T28 Heavy Tank Concept” operation - on Tier VII, and so on. However, the restrictions on participation have not changed. You can perform the tasks of any operation even at the X level of technology.

We also made the additional conditions in the final, fifteenth tasks of each branch more diverse. This is due to the fact that the additional reward for tasks that complete branches has become more valuable: Order Forms are now located there.

Note! If, according to the conditions of the task, you need, for example, to discover 5 vehicles in a battle, and you discovered 7, obviously, the task will be successful. This rule is valid for all numerical conditions.

Bonuses and medals

From 9.20.1, when receiving a medal from the “Epic Achievements” and “Battle Heroes” categories, the player will receive additional encouragement in the form of bonds. Bonuses will not be awarded for cumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and may be changed.

Improvements for Training Ground mode
Changes:

      • Irrelevant options have been disabled in the context menus of the vehicle upgrade windows, the Research Tree, and the vehicle carousel.
      • Rewards (credits and experience) for victories and defeats when completing the Training Ground have been balanced.
      • Rewards for completing the Training Ground are now displayed in the notification center.
      • Added a notification to players that they will not receive a reward when completing the Training Grounds again.
      • The crew recruitment window has been made more informative.

Corrections:

      • Fixed errors where some interface elements were incorrectly displayed in color blind mode.
      • Fixed errors in saving and restoring player settings when entering and leaving the Training Ground (vehicle panel and sights).
      • Fixed errors in the incorrect drawing of some game tips (unmasking when shooting, the need to return to the capture circle).
      • Fixed a rare bug where the “Skip Tutorial” button was not displayed correctly.
      • The results of battles in the mode have been removed from the notification center.
      • Fixed display of the EULA license window when restarting the game client.
      • Descriptions of vehicle characteristics in the loading screens of the Training Grounds now correspond to reality.
      • Music in battle, Hangar, and the final cutscene of the Training Ground no longer overlaps.
      • Added reward descriptions to the victory screen.
      • Fixed bugs in bot behavior.
      • Fixed errors in displaying map boundaries.

To install, you will need a new client - it is not built into the main one, so be prepared to allocate additional disk space. You are probably interested how much does the WoT test server weigh?, but there are no exact numbers - it all depends on the version of the patch being tested. Usually, a little more than the current version of the client. The WoT 1.6 test server launcher can be downloaded for free from the official website. If you have already participated in the previous test phase, please update the test client as you will need the latest version. There should be no problems updating the World of Tanks test server, since this will happen automatically. When will the World of Tanks test server go live?

If you're wondering, "Is the test server running?" - We hasten to please you. It is usually launched in anticipation of a new patch, and at the moment this is a large-scale update 1.6, so the test is in full swing. How to install a test server

  • To run the World of Tanks test server, you will need to download the installer from the developer’s website (link above).
  • Next, follow the instructions and wait for the game client to download.

How to log into the test server

  • Before joining the beta test, run the test client.
  • Make sure your main account has been in existence for a sufficient amount of time before logging into the test (only accounts created more than 2-4 weeks before the start of the test are accepted).
  • The number of available places is limited! You may end up in a queue.
  • Use your regular username and password to log in.

Mods for test server 1.6

There are no special mod builds for the test server, since it exists for a limited amount of time. The instructions for installing mods on a test server are the same as for a simple server - just add the mod files to the folder of the corresponding version inside the res_mods directory. The path to it will look something like this:

"D /World of Tanks/res_mods/*client version*."

Of course, there are no guarantees that all mods will work, so there are no 100% working builds. Choose those that work with the latest version of the main client - you can check out those available for the main client. You can try to install at your own risk; the test server is probably not moderated as actively as the main one, and therefore will not necessarily provoke a ban. You can download cheats from our website and try to install them on the test server, however, as with simple mods, functionality is not guaranteed.

Why is the World of Tanks test server not working?

If you simply cannot log in, then most likely the test stage has completed, and the next one has not yet begun. Check the official website for news. Also, every day on all three test servers, technical work is carried out for 15 minutes:

Why is the WoT test server not available or not connecting?

  • It may indeed be unavailable because the test has ended - see the test dates in the table above.
  • Your account may be registered later than the established threshold - 2-4 weeks before the start of the test.
  • You may have problems with network settings; see the next paragraph to resolve them.

The test is running, but the WoT client (test server) still writes: “The connection cannot be established” or “You are disconnected from the server.”

Try the following:

  • Try disabling your firewall and try logging in again
  • Use the WGCheck program
  • Check client integrity

A new way to receive reward cars.

“Award lists” have been removed, and instead “Components” of the vehicle have been introduced:

1. To receive a reward vehicle for an operation, you must collect all 5 components: hull, suspension, gun, power plant and radio;
2. Each component has its own branch of tasks in the operation:
a) Power plant - task branch for light tanks;
b) Chassis - task branch for medium tanks;
c) Hull (+ turret or wheelhouse) - task branch for heavy tanks;
d) Weapon - task branch for tank destroyers;
e) Radio station - task branch for self-propelled guns.
3. To receive the component, you must complete the final fifteenth task in the corresponding branch.

Order forms.

Added a new entity “Order Forms”:

1. To earn an order form, you must complete any finishing task of any branch with honors;
2. Order forms can be included (that is, applied) to any tasks. Thus:
a) The selected task will be automatically considered completed without distinction;
b) You will receive a reward for the main conditions of the task;
c) The spent order form will remain included in the task;
d) The pledged order form does not disappear, but is temporarily frozen until you take it back.
3. To pick up the enclosed order form, you must complete the task in which it is enclosed with honors. This way you get your order form back and can use it again.
4. The number of order forms required to be included in the tasks:
a) For any task from 1 to 14 - 1 order form;
b) In task 15 - 4 order forms.

To summarize: Order forms can be used to skip tasks that are difficult or uninteresting to you. And most importantly: you can place order forms in the final, fifteenth task in the branch, even if you have not yet completed the previous 14 tasks. Thus, you can instantly obtain the 5th missing component of the machine by completing 4 task branches with honors.

New rewards.

1. Added a new reward - stripes:
a) In each operation you can earn 2 stripes:
* The II degree badge is issued simultaneously with the receipt of the award vehicle;
* The 1st degree badge is awarded for completing all 75 tasks of a specific operation with distinction.
b) For completing all tasks in all operations you receive a special unique patch “Champion of the 1st Campaign”
2. Added a new reward - camouflage schemes:
a) In each operation you can earn a set of 3 (summer, winter, desert) unique camouflage schemes:
* A set of 3 camouflage schemes for a reward vehicle is issued for completing all 75 missions of the operation;
* The same set of circuits is unlocked for use on all vehicles of the same nation as the award vehicle for completing all 75 missions with distinction.

Changing task conditions

The objectives in each operation have been revised to increase the relevance of the main reward. For example, now all tasks from the “StuG IV” operation can be completed on Tier V vehicles, from the “T28 Heavy Tank Concept” operation - on Tier VII, and so on. However, the restrictions on participation have not changed. You can perform the tasks of any operation even at the X level of technology.

We also made the additional conditions in the final, fifteenth tasks of each branch more diverse. This is due to the fact that the additional reward for tasks that complete branches has become more valuable: Order Forms are now located there.

Note! If, according to the conditions of the task, you need, for example, to discover 5 vehicles in a battle, and you discovered 7, obviously, the task will be successful. This rule is valid for all numerical conditions.

Bonuses and medals

From 9.20.1, when receiving a medal from the “Epic Achievements” and “Battle Heroes” categories, the player will receive additional encouragement in the form of bonds. Bonuses will not be awarded for cumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and may be changed. Read more.

Improvements for Training Ground mode

Changes:
* Irrelevant options have been disabled in the context menus of the vehicle upgrade windows, the Research Tree, and the vehicle carousel.
* Rewards (credits and experience) for victories and defeats when completing the Training Ground have been balanced.
* Rewards for completing the Training Ground are now displayed in the notification center.

Ranked battles

The first beta season of ranked battles recently ended. We have analyzed all your feedback and want to make changes that should improve the second beta season game process. These are the ones we will test as part of the general test of update 9.20.

Changes to basic mechanics

One of the most discussed topics on the forum concerned the simplicity of the mode. The basic mechanics of matching players of equal skill worked, but reaching rank five was not a real challenge for experienced tankers.

We tried to fix this by changing the mechanics of obtaining chevrons and ranks. The number of ranks will remain the same, but the number of chevrons required to achieve ranks will change. The distance between ranks will be as follows: 1-3-5-7-9 chevrons. To achieve the first rank you will need only one chevron, and as many as nine will be needed to move from the fourth to the fifth rank.

In addition, the mechanics of vehicle ranks will change. In the second beta season, any rank will cost 5 chevrons.

The mechanics of obtaining chevrons will also change. The 10 best players in terms of experience earn a chevron on the winning team. The remaining 5 winning players, as well as the top 5 players of the losing team, do not earn a chevron. Finally, the remaining 10 players of the losing team lose their chevron.

In this way, we want to push players to interact: despite personal results in ranked battles, victory remains a team achievement. That is why we have expanded the list of players who do not lose their chevron if the team loses. This means that even if the battle goes poorly and the enemy is pushing in all directions, you should not give up. You must continue to help your allies - your efforts will be rewarded.

Balancer improvements

We found several critical issues related to balance. And here's how we're going to solve them:

  • Let's improve the balance between teams in terms of the number of medium and heavy tanks.
  • Let's limit the number of self-propelled guns per team to two units.
  • We will add more maps and significantly improve their rotation. Thanks to this, the chances of ending up on the same card all the time will decrease.

Reward

We will also review the mechanics of receiving rewards. From now on, you will no longer have to wait until the end of the season to receive the bulk of the bonds you earn. The value of the rewards will also increase.

Testing stages

Testing of the second beta season of ranked battles will take place during the general test of update 9.20. Join us - the next stage will last until August 9.
