One of the universal recipes when you need to make a snack quickly, cheaply and cheerfully is a hot sandwich. In general, of course, a hot sandwich suitable in many cases when the time or desire to cook something serious is limited. So, let's go:

We cut off the required number of pieces of bread, spread it with butter, without particularly worrying about beauty. The butter will melt and be absorbed into the bread anyway:

Take a piece of baking paper and place it on a baking sheet. Place the sandwiches on the paper. You can do it without paper, but it has an undoubted advantage - you don’t have to wash the baking sheet afterwards ;). At least it gets dirty less.

If someone thinks the cheese is dry, they can adjust the time to their taste. It’s more difficult with a gas oven, but you can also choose the temperature and interval. So far the entire preparation process took 2-3 minutes.

While the sandwiches are baking, the lucky owners of someone who can bring coffee to bed can start making coffee. My hot sandwiches have exactly this main purpose - an integral element of breakfast in bed. Anyone who can’t make coffee for some reason can do something more different.

Sandwiches with sausage on the festive table according to this recipe are the target of all guests. Such beautiful sandwiches are especially popular among children. After all, these sandwiches look attractive in an American way. My advantage is that they are prepared simply and therefore you can make a lot of such sandwiches. In this recipe I list everything for one sandwich, but I once made 30 of them (for a large picnic) and I will say that these sandwiches were a huge success.

Ingredients:

  • Brown bread - 2 Slices (square)
  • Ham or sausage - 50 grams
  • Cheese - 1 slice
  • Lettuce leaf - 1 piece
  • Tomato - 1/2 Piece
  • Cucumber - 1/3 Piece
  • Mustard - - To taste

Cooking method:

  1. For one sandwich we need two slices of bread, fold a slice of sausage in half as in the photo.
  2. Place several folded slices of sausage on the bread.
  3. In the store we choose sliced ​​cheese. Cut delicious holes in a slice of cheese

  1. It just happened that I got a little sick here :(. I don’t really want to move, but I need to throw something into the firebox, no matter what. One of the universal recipes when you need to make a snack quickly, cheaply and cheerfully is a hot sandwich. In general, of course, a hot sandwich suitable in many cases when time or desire to cook something serious is limited.
  2. We cut off the required number of pieces of bread, spread it with butter, without particularly worrying about beauty.
  3. We cut up what we have in addition to the butter and bread - sausage, smoked meat, frankfurters, in general, something ready-to-eat that can be combined with a sandwich, solely to your taste. In my case, I came across a piece of ham in the refrigerator. Place on sandwich:
  4. If desired, you can add tomatoes and/or ketchup/sauce at this stage. Again to your taste.
  5. Cut the cheese into 1.5-3 mm slices. Those who wish can grate it, but in my experience this does not provide any advantages; the cheese melts evenly, especially if the pieces are placed with a slight overlap. Cover our dough evenly with cheese:
  6. Take a piece of baking paper and place it on a baking sheet. Place the sandwiches on the paper. You can do it without paper, but it has an undoubted advantage - you don’t have to wash the baking sheet afterwards ;). At least it gets dirty less.
  7. Place the baking sheet on the top level, set 175 degrees and the timer for 12 minutes. For my taste, this time is optimal. If someone thinks the cheese is dry, they can adjust the time to their taste. It’s more difficult with a gas oven, but you can also choose the temperature and interval. So far the entire preparation process took 2-3 minutes.
  8. While the sandwiches are baking, the lucky owners of someone who can bring coffee to bed can start making coffee. My hot sandwiches have exactly this main purpose - an integral element of breakfast in bed. Anyone who can’t make coffee for some reason can do something more different.
  • To prepare cold appetizers or hot sandwiches, you can use absolutely any bread: black, white, whole grain, loaves, baguettes, rolls. The main thing is that the bread is not sweet, because rich loaves do not go well with ham and possible vegetables.
  • If you don’t have a piece of bread on hand, but want a snack, use dry biscuits, thin, non-sweet shortbread cookies, and croquettes to make sandwiches.
  • You can complement any ham sandwich, especially if it contains cheese, with chopped roasted walnuts, which will give the dish greater satiety and an interesting taste.
  • When using tomatoes when making sandwiches, make sure they are not too watery, otherwise the snack will spread.
  • Also keep in mind that sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup and other lubricating ingredients should not be too liquid, otherwise they will be absorbed into the crumb and the sandwiches, whether cold or hot, will turn out soggy.
  • If you want hot sandwiches, but don’t want to heat the oven, and you don’t have a microwave, use a slow cooker. Here it is enough to keep the sandwiches in the “Baking” mode for 7 minutes.
  • Don’t be afraid to experiment with fillings for sandwiches: along with ham, you can put eggs, tomatoes, fresh or pickled cucumbers, olives, any type of cheese, sweet and hot peppers, spices, seasonings, and all kinds of herbs.

Hot sandwiches with ham and cheese are a delicious and satisfying breakfast that you can eat every day!

I usually make hot sandwiches by simply adding a slice of ham or sausage and cheese on top and then baking it. Today I decided to try a different option, with the addition of eggs. It turned out very interesting, nutritious and tender.

Oven-baked hot ham and cheese sandwiches require no buttering as the egg partially saturates the bread and makes it moist.

At the end of baking, I turned on the grill for a few minutes, as I like the cheese to have a crust. You can leave it until lightly baked so that the cheese just melts.

Prepare food.

Cut the ham and half the cheese into cubes or strips.

Place in a bowl, add mayonnaise and egg.

Mix.

Spread the filling onto the bread. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Place sandwiches into shape.

Cook hot ham and cheese sandwiches in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 10-12 minutes.

After ten minutes, remove the foil and leave the cheese sandwiches in the oven until the cheese has melted. This usually requires more 3-5 minutes.
After you remove the ham and cheese sandwiches from the oven, let them cool. 5-10 minutes, and then serve it to the table.

Step 4: Serve mini ham and cheese sandwiches.



Mini sandwiches with ham and cheese are a very tasty snack. They are suitable as a breakfast for those who are in a hurry, or as an afternoon snack with juice, for example, for those who just want a snack. The main thing is to serve the sandwiches warm; they turn out very tasty and aromatic.
