To counter Christian obscurantism, again strongly imposed on the Russian people, we continue to publish here fragments of our book “Biblical pictures or What is “God's grace”?” . Perhaps, after reading the Bible - the main document of the organization to which they are so obsessively invited - people will think about what is actually written there, and not in the numerous publicized "interpretations" of the workers of the Christian corporation. Perhaps, in reflection, they will ask themselves questions, often perplexed, which will certainly arise when reading this document. For example, why are the history, genealogy, cultural tradition and moral standards of the ancient Jews imposed on other peoples with their own history, genealogy, cultural tradition and moral standards, often much higher than the imposed ones, as sacred? And, having answered this and other questions for themselves, people will decide for themselves whether it is reasonable to join an organization whose main book preaches what it preaches. You can copy our book for yourself without any restrictions at the link provided. We even provide free layout for publication in a printing house and a cover. Read this book, perhaps it will help you resist the annoying advertising of obscurantism that pours from all cracks on our heads.

“Every seventh year is a year of debt forgiveness. It was forbidden for foreigners to forgive debts.

- A small part of them should live at the Temple, the rest - among the tribes.

The next biblical book tells of the war of conquest waged by the Jews under the leadership of Jehovah, who expressed his will exclusively through a new speaker, whose name was Joshua. After weeping over the great bringer out of Pharaoh's slavery and into Jehovah's slavery, the Jews began to prepare to cross the Jordan River. So that, finally, the promises of their god, and therefore their dreams, come true.

Chapters 2-6 are devoted to the capture of Jericho, the first city beyond the Jordan, subject, in accordance with Jehovah's strategic plan, to destruction and plunder. Scouts were sent there, who, thanks to a traitorous harlot named Rahab, successfully reconnoitered and returned to the camp. As you can see, the Bible continues its amazing tradition and reverently preserves the names of its heroes and heroines - traitors and murderers. The king of Jericho, like other different pharaohs, remained nameless. It is understandable, he is an enemy, and the harlot Rahab is an ally. It would be excusable for some opportunistic bookishness, but you and I are reading the Book of Books, where, every word, it is “holiness”, “wisdom” and “chasteness”!

During a campaign against Jericho with a 40,000-strong army, Jehovah showed another miracle - as soon as the priests with the ark entered the Jordan, its waters parted and the Jewish army crossed the river, “like on dry land” (ah, yes, storytellers). He ordered to take 12 stones from the places where the feet of the priests stood in memory of this great event. However, this miracle, similar to the one arranged by Jehovah in the Red Sea (only stones were not collected there as a keepsake), was not done at all for the convenience of his sheep. And for what? It’s just that an opportunity has turned up to play (on paper) with your, as the Bible says, muscle “ that all the nations of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, and that you may fear the Lord your God all the days” (Josh. 4:24). Jehovah continued to take care of his reputation painfully; apparently, he well understood the unreliability of his “army”.

Along the way, he decided to correct a great oversight - those born in the desert, oh horror, were not circumcised. After all, it is impossible to go to the conquest of the Holy Land uncircumcised! And shortly before the battle, he ordered a mass separation of the foreskin with stone knives. Having successfully passed the post-operative period, having celebrated Easter with the fruits of the Canaan land, since the semolina freebie was over, and having received detailed instructions for the siege of Jericho, the Jews began to implement the military plans of the Generalissimo. That's what the plan was. They needed all in a crowd, led by the ark and 7 priests, with trumpets to go around the fortress walls of Jericho 1 time per day for 6 days, and on the 7th day they had to go around the city 7 times, blowing the trumpets. At the moment when the jubilee horn sounds, everyone should have cried out loudly and the wall should have collapsed. Further, it was necessary to conjure the city, except for the harlot Rahab, i.e. simply kill all living things, and all gold and silver - in the treasury of God, i.e., the Levites.

Destruction of the walls of Jericho. Gustave Dore.

That's how it all happened. They walked around the walls, blew into the pipes, shouted in unison, the walls crumbled (the paper again endured everything). They killed all the people and animals, collected all the valuables, and at the same time cursed those who in the future would be going to restore Jericho. Pay attention to the fact that the defenders of Jericho, during this carnival, sat quietly and patiently waited for the crazy conquerors to play enough with the trumpets and begin to conjure them all (this is how the word “cut” is replaced in the Bible)!

Joshua leaves the harlot Rahab alive. Gustave Dore.

However, the first victory was followed by defeat. A 3,000-strong detachment of Jews could not take a certain city of Gai and fled. The loss of Jews amounted to as many as 36 people. The figure of the inhabitants of Jericho killed by the Jews is not given. They did not expect a rebuff. They were promised! Here is the heart of the brave warriors " melted and became like water". Joshua tore his clothes and fell to the ground (the Fuhrer turned out to be thin), where he stayed until the evening, the elders sprinkled ashes on his head. It became terrible that the Canaanites would do to them the same way they did to the inhabitants of Jericho.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief explained this unpleasant moment by the fact that, after all, they did not fulfill the order by 100%. Someone encroached on the gold and silver god trophies. They made an inspection - the people were lined up according to their knees and families - and they revealed the “enemy”. A certain Achan from the tribe of Judah appropriated some clothes, 100 shekels of silver and an ingot of 50 shekels of gold. For this, Achan, along with these clothes, silver, gold, sons, daughters, oxen and donkeys, were burned and stoned. Only after that " the fury of the wrath of the Lord subsided».

Many may call these curses complete nonsense, but the fact that the history of curses goes back over a thousand years confirms their popularity in our society. Whether or not you believe in them, you cannot remain indifferent to the victims of these curses...

10. The curse that harmed the queen.

Sirikit, the beloved queen of Thailand, suffered a stroke in July 2012 and has not been seen in public since. This wouldn't be suspicious if it weren't for rumors of a decades-long curse that originates from one of the world's most daring jewel thefts.
It all started in 1989 in the palace of the Saudi royal family. A Thai doorman broke into Prince Faisal's room and stole $20 million worth of jewelry, which he later managed to smuggle into Thailand in a vacuum cleaner bag. Among the jewels was a 50-carat gem known as the "Blue Diamond".
The thief was quickly arrested, but he managed to sell some of the gems he stole on the black market. The rest of the stolen goods were quickly returned to the Saudi royal family, but more than half of the jewelry was replaced with fakes. The Blue Diamond was also missing and the Thai police assumed it never existed.
But for a gem whose existence has not been proven, "Blue Diamond" caused more problems, leading some to speculate that it was cursed. The curse allegedly took its first lives in February 1990 when three Saudi diplomats (who were tasked with investigating the heist) were shot to death. The Thai police insisted there was no evidence that the killings were linked to the Blue Diamond case, but residents Saudi Arabia thought otherwise.
Their suspicions were reinforced by press reports that the wives of some of Thailand's most powerful men were seen wearing jewelry that resembled missing Saudi gems. Interestingly, the last time the elusive "Blue Diamond" was seen was on Queen Sirikit. According to eyewitnesses, it was surprisingly similar to the "Blue Diamond" gem. And this happened shortly before the stroke. Many believe that Queen Sirikit is the latest victim of the Blue Diamond's curse, which is said to harm everyone until the stone is returned to its rightful owner.

9. The curse that killed millions.

In 1941, a team of Soviet anthropologists went on an expedition to Uzbekistan. Their mission, approved by Stalin himself, was to locate Tamerlane's grave and dig up his body. Tamerlane was a bloody 14th-century warlord who is also a national hero of Uzbekistan. Members of the local Muslim clergy desperately tried to stop the exhumation. They warned that if the commander's sleep was disturbed, trouble would happen on the third day. Mikhail Gerasimov, the leader of the expedition, ignored their warning as a local superstition and exhumed Tamerlane on June 19, 1941.
The decision of Soviet anthropologists to open the grave can be assessed as brave or reckless. On the coffin was the inscription “When I am resurrected, the world must tremble.” Three days later Nazi Germany launched Operation Barbarossa and suddenly invaded the Soviet Union. Coincidence? Maybe. But the world was really shaking.
Some people still believe that Stalin angered Tamerlane when Soviet anthropologists dug up the commander's body, and the Nazi invasion was a direct result of Tamerlane's curse. It is interesting to note that the turning point of the German-Soviet war was the unexpected victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. And what happened right before this battle? Stalin ordered that Tamerlane's body be re-buried in compliance with all funeral rites. The curse was lifted, but before that it had taken a terrible toll: although the Soviet Union was ultimately victorious, the German invasion resulted in the deaths of 7.5 million Russians.

8. The Curse of the Hawaiian Volcano Goddess

"If you disrespect Pele, she will kill you," warns Professor Kame "eleihiva from the University of Hawaii. Timothy Murray probably did not know this when he went to Honolulu. As he said about himself: "Timothy is always lucky Until he upset Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes.
One day Timothy decided to visit a famous national park Vulkanov. Fascinated by the volcanic sand, he took some with him in an empty water bottle. After that, everything went awry. The girl he dated for five years and was about to propose to suddenly left him. The FBI arrested him for copyright infringement (which is extremely rare even in the US). Oh, and his beloved pet suddenly died. But the curse only slightly affected Timothy Murray.
According to Hawaiian legend, anyone who picks up a piece of volcanic rock (or some volcanic sand) will be wrathed by the goddess Pele. Presumably, Pele is so outraged when the rocks (whom she regards as her children) are appropriated by uninformed tourists that she takes revenge on them with a curse. Huge amounts of volcanic sand bags and bottles are returned to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park every day, from people who apologize and who are determined to get rid of sudden misfortunes. Many also contain letters of apology addressed to the Goddess of the Volcano herself and requests to remove the curse.

7. Curse of Spider-Man.

Many have heard of the Superman Curse, but it pales in comparison to another, more recent curse, also named after a famous superhero. The place of his appearance is Broadway, not Hollywood, namely the musical "Spider-Man: Conqueror of Darkness". The show was postponed several times after a series of technical problems that resulted in several injuries. It wasn't long before the media started wondering if the show wasn't cursed.
It all started during rehearsals in 2010, when the actor broke his legs and suffered a concussion during a stunt that went wrong. The second actor broke both wrists after a few. During the first preview, one of the lead actresses received a concussion from being hit on the head with a rope. She left the show shortly after. T.V. Carpio was supposed to replace her but ended up in the hospital for two weeks due to a neck injury.
Then Christopher Tierney was injured in the most dramatic and widely publicized accident. A rope broke during an aerial stunt and Christopher Tierney fell off high altitude right into the orchestra pit. The actor was seriously injured: he broke his skull, shoulder blade and elbow, as well as four ribs and three vertebrae. This happened during a performance, and the screams of one of the actresses still haunt the audience.
A new tragedy occurred on August 16, 2013. The dancer's leg was turned into a mess by theatrical equipment. So far, five actors have been injured or injured. Luckily, no one has died yet, except for Tony Adams, the producer who suffered a stroke and died before the damn show hit Broadway.

6. Muhammad cursed an orphan girl (and made her cry).

If you run into a little girl who smiles at you, what will be your reaction? Most people will probably smile back. But not the prophet Mohammed. According to Sahih Muslim (Book 032, Verse 6297), Muhammad looked at such a girl and said, "May you not advance in years!" The orphan ran away shedding tears.
Why did the prophet of Allah do this? When asked about this bizarre incident, Muhammad explained that he is human and can sometimes lose his temper. He assured his followers that he had made a deal with Allah whereby anyone he cursed unjustly would be rewarded on the Day of Resurrection. Thus, the curse was intended to teach Muslims a valuable lesson: Muhammad used it to demonstrate that if someone is undeservedly cursed - even by Allah's own prophet - he should not worry. But the fate of the orphan girl remains unknown. It is also unclear whether Muhammad's curse meant that the girl would not live to see her next birthday, or would be forced to remain a child forever.
The case above is outlined but recorded in a hadeeth which is "sahih" which means authentic. In other words, Muhammad's curse on an orphan girl is accepted by Sunni Muslims as a fact.

5. The curse of the dead man's chair.

The Thirsk Museum in England is the birthplace of Thomas Busby. In the museum, there is a chair hanging on the wall, and all so that no one can sit on it. No, not because the chair is particularly valuable, but because of a curse that dates back to the 18th century. According to legend, anyone who dares to sit on a chair will soon die.
It all began in North Yorkshire in 1702. Somehow, a man named Thomas Busby managed to marry the beautiful Elizabeth Auty. However, her father was opposed to the marriage, as he thought his daughter could do better. One day Busby came home and saw his father-in-law sitting in his favorite chair. Oti said he had to take his daughter home. Busby did what any sane person would do: he beat his father-in-law to death with a hammer and hid the body. As he was being led to his execution, he shouted that anyone who sat on his favorite chair would die. The hotel where Busby lived with his wife was renamed the "Busby Stoop Inn" and the chair is believed to have claimed a huge number of lives over the past 300 years.
In 1968, Tony Earnshaw bought the hotel. Earnshaw was not a superstitious person, so he dismissed the Busby curse as heresy and dismissed the deaths as mere coincidences. But after that, people began to die right before his eyes. First, Earnshaw overheard two RAF aviators urging each other to sit on a chair. Both did it and both died in a car accident later that day. Then a group of builders who went to the pub for lunch forced the young worker to sit on a chair. The brave guy on the same day fell from the roof and crushed his skull.
This was the last straw for Tony Earnshaw. He asked the Thirsk Museum to take back the chair, but only on the condition that they never let anyone sit on it. For almost 30 years, no one was allowed to test the curse, despite many attempts.

4. The curse that plagued Hungary for 1000 years.

If you believe in curses, hope your ancestry is not Hungarian. Hungary is the birthplace of the "Turáni átok" Curse. Supposedly, Hungary and all its inhabitants were plagued by bad luck for a millennium. The origin of the curse goes back to 1000 BC, when King Stephen ruled the country of Magyaroszág (now known as Hungary) with an iron fist. Stephen intended to forcibly convert his people to Christianity.
But not all the inhabitants of the country were happy with the new god. Some resisted the Christian mission and stuck to the old faith. An uprising broke out, accompanied by a nationwide massacre of the clergy. King Stephen responded with force. Christian armies forced the "Black Hungarians", as they were called, to accept the rite of baptism. Many of them were tortured and blinded beforehand.
The defeated adherents of the old Hungarian religion called on an influential shaman for help. The shaman sent a 1000 year curse on the newly Christian country. While the specifics of the curse are unknown, a cloak of darkness and death has hung over Hungary ever since. The fact that Hungary had the highest suicide rate in the world for most of the 20th century is cited as proof of existence. Also a nationwide problem was life expectancy, which is the shortest among European nations. The pagan shaman's curse was supposed to expire in 2000, but the situation in Hungary has not improved since then. Some think that the curse of Turáni átok will be an endless source of grief for Hungary.

3. The curse that killed the Russian royal family.

A century ago, there lived a man named Grigory Rasputin. Born in Siberia, Rasputin came from a poor family and his prospects were... He had no prospects, but he still managed to find his way to the Romanov Palace, where he became the personal adviser to Empress Alexandra. How did he do it? Rasputin, a self-proclaimed mystic, claimed to be able to use his powers to alleviate the suffering of Alexandra's sick son, who suffered from hemophilia. If only the Tsarina had known that Rasputin had once used his abilities to cast a curse on the entire Romanov family, then she would never have let him into the palace.
The aristocrats in St. Petersburg were fascinated by the mysterious mystic, but the idea of a peasant, who was in fact Rasputin, advising the queen, was both unpleasant and unacceptable. A group of nobles tried to kill him, but it turned out to be quite difficult to do so. Rasputin survived poisoning, a brutal beating, multiple gunshot wounds, and a penis amputation. It wasn't until the killers tied him up and threw his body into the icy river that he finally breathed his last.
Russia rid itself of Rasputin, but not of his dark influence. Before he died, he sent the king a prophetic letter outlining what would happen to the royal family if he were killed by the nobles. Basically, Rasputin was warning the Tsar that he and his family would not live to see the next year, which many interpreted as a curse. Less than a year later, the Romanovs, including the Tsar, his wife and five young children, were brutally murdered.

2. Jesus cursed the fig tree (and all of Israel).

Imagine that you are walking and see a fig tree nearby. Hungry, you approach it and find that the tree - despite having leaves - is barren. Most people would shrug their shoulders and move on. But not Jesus. According to one of the gospel's most bizarre interpretations, Jesus pointed to a fig tree and said, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" The tree immediately withered and died.
At first glance, one might think that Jesus acted like a petulant child who stamps his foot when he doesn't get what he wants. But the curse was neither a rash act nor an aimless gesture of annoyance. The fig tree and its fruit are symbolic, representing Israel and the faith of its people, respectively. The fig tree (Israel) will never bear fruit even though its leaves will indicate that it is the right season for it. Very symbolic, especially if you look at modern Israel.
Thus, when Jesus placed a curse on the fig tree, he really demonstrated his power and opinion about Israel. Israel became a worthless machine in the sacred scheme and deserved to be destroyed - just like a barren, withered tree deserves nothing less than to be destroyed. And so, due to the lack of faith in Israel, given by the Messiah, it was destroyed by the Romans. Now it has blossomed, as there were no fruits... What an interesting future awaits Israel?

1. The ancient Jewish curse that killed the Israeli prime minister.

On July 26, 2005, a group of Jewish extremists, led by Rabbi Yosef Dayan, gathered at the cemetery to perform an ancient ceremony. Their intention was to place a death curse on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Upset by the fact that Sharon had defended the Israeli renunciation of certain areas that were part of the Promised Land, the Jewish ultra-citizens yearned for divine retribution. Called “pulsa denura” (“whip of fire” in Aramaic), the curse calls upon the Angels of Destruction to crush their opponents for a year.
Less than six months later, Prime Minister Sharon collapsed in his bathtub. He suffered from a massive cerebral hemorrhage, a severe blow that destroyed his cognitive abilities. Supported by a ventilator, Sharon was expected to never regain consciousness. Doctors urged family members to let him die, but his son insisted they do everything they could. The former prime minister has since become a vegetable. Even though "pulsa denura" didn't kill it, some claim it was successful. The purpose of the curse, after all, was to overthrow Ariel Sharon. Death is a fine solution, but a coma is also a pretty good one.
But we can find the curse that killed the Israeli prime minister. Let's go back to 1995 when Jewish ultracitizens held a ceremony to ask for the death of Yitzhak Rabin, who was prime minister at the time. Angered by the fact that he was trying to make peace with the Palestinians, far-right extremists, again led by Rabbi Yosef Dayan, they tried to impose "pulsa denura" on the prime minister. A few days later, Yitzhak Rabin was shot at a peace rally.

Many of the horrors of our world are more than real. Scary facts concern not only people, events or places, but also things. It will be about the 10 most dangerous items that bring a curse to the owners.

There are real ghost stories, but it's much scarier when the real stories involve objects that can be seen and sometimes even touched. News of horror, fear, and ghosts sometimes travels faster than gossip about show business stars. Fear has always attracted people as much as money.

Why items can be cursed

It is important to understand here that due to some mysterious circumstances, an evil spirit can cling to an object or a thing can be cursed. Sometimes it turns out that neither psychics, nor seers, nor other experts in the field of paranormal phenomena can explain this phenomenon.

There are simply negative items, there are those that take away luck, and there are those that bring death and destruction. History knows many such items or things that are now in museums or missing.

Top 10 Cursed Things

Painting "Scream". This work of art is also cursed. It is located in the Munch Museum. There were 4 versions of the painting in total. Cursed is the one that is painted in oil. She has brought many problems to those who have ever touched her. There were even a few deaths.

Remember that not only people are evil and dark, but also objects. Do not take anything from the street and throw away, if possible, what you do not like and seems negative. There are vampire things that slowly take away your energy - mostly old stuff, trash that has long wanted to be thrown away. Good luck and don't forget to press the buttons and

A person is accustomed to understand the word "curse" exclusively as a curse. However, from the point of view of religion or the occult, these are negative programs resulting from certain negative actions.

At the same time, the curse that came true is to some extent proof that laws exist not only in the criminal code, but also in the space that surrounds a person, in the air. For the most part, people do not think about this air, despite the fact that they breathe it throughout their lives. As a rule, people begin to perceive this air only when misfortunes begin to occur in their lives.

Each curse has its own power, depending on how much bad the person who was cursed has done. In addition, the strength of the curse may depend on the karma of the person being cursed. For example, a person who was cursed, in addition to evil, did some good deeds, and he has positive merits before the Universe. In this case, the curse will either have no effect at all, or be rather weak...

Curses can also accumulate over many years or even centuries. Therefore, people cannot sufficiently appreciate the power of the curse.

In some cases, the curse is so strong that no magicians and psychics can help. A curse has tremendous power when it comes from the soul, from the heart, and not from thoughts.

In our time, many psychics and magicians have appeared who promise to remove any curse, even. It is quite obvious that this is just a good way to capitalize on human naivety. Crowds of people every day send thousands of curses in vain, but whether they achieve their goal depends on what caused the desire to send this curse. Often people have many reasons, but many of them are so groundless and unfounded that the result can even be the opposite effect. Simply put, a person who curses some imaginary enemy of his, as a result, gets a lot of problems on his head.

And therefore, in the process of removing the curse, the reason for its imposition plays a very important role. Thus, when a person wants to get rid of a curse, he must recognize and see its cause.

And in this case, the clergy are right, having a negative attitude towards all sorts of magicians, shamans, sorcerers, who can “scam” such that there will be much more harm than good. V best case, a person can only lose his money and time. If you think logically, in order to understand: after all, it’s true, it can’t be that a person does evil, it remains in karma, and then a miracle wizard appears who breathed and spat, and all the bad things disappeared ...

There are many curses in the world that can capture the imagination of people. And really what it is: a mere coincidence, or a supernatural phenomenon that influenced the fate of people who believed in a curse, is difficult to judge.

One of the more famous curses is the Madden Curse. Madden is a highly popular American football video game that includes the characteristics of National Football League players. The game is updated annually. The first to appear on the game's booklet was John Madden, whose cover photo lasted eleven years.

Starting in 2001, it was replaced by photographs of other players. It is said that all the players whose photos were on the cover of the game in the same year were seriously injured or lost popularity. So, for example, Culpepper was forced to miss 5 seasons after a knee injury, Vic broke his leg. McNabb, who said he didn't believe in the curse, suffered a hernia in his first match. This list can be continued for a long time, but there is no need for that, everything is already very clear.

Another well-known curse is associated with the Bjorktorp runestone. In the province of Blekinge (Sweden) there are standing stones that are arranged in a circle. According to legend, there are ancient graves in this place. But no one knows exactly what they were actually installed for. It is only known that more than one person installed them, although this was done at about the same time - in the 7th century BC. one of these stones has magical properties, it has a runic curse written on it.

According to a legend that appeared in the 15th century, a peasant tried to remove this stone in order to clear the land for planting crops. The man decided to make a fire around the stone, and then fill it with water so that the stone crumbles and can be easily removed. But as soon as the peasant started the fire, the flame spread to him.

An equally famous curse is associated with the 27 Club, a group of famous musicians who die at the age of 27. Among the dead musicians are Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain. In total, about forty people died in the Club. And in 2011, the sad list was replenished with another surname - Emmy Winehouse died of a heart attack.

There is also the curse of the Kennedy clan. This family has a very long list of deaths. Kennedy Sr. forced his daughter Rosemary to get a lobotomy at 23. Family members were convinced that the girl was mentally retarded, she had frequent mood swings (quite possibly resulting from feelings of inferiority and loneliness in adolescence). The father was confident that his daughter's operation would help, but it left her disabled for the rest of her life. However, she is the only one of the Kennedy children who died of natural causes.

Art lovers are well aware of the so-called. According to rumors, this portrait caused a huge number of fires and explosions around the world. But at the same time, the painting itself remained unscathed. The artist of the portrait was an old man who lived in Madrid. He said that he painted the picture many years ago. The portrait (one of the versions) depicted an orphan boy who was the only one from the family who survived after the fire. According to the artist, a priest who knew the boy warned that the boy was bringing fires to all the houses where he was allowed to go. But the artist did not believe these stories, and took all the care of the child upon himself. This continued until his own studio burned down. After that, the artist simply kicked the boy out and never saw him again.

Among the actors are well aware of the curse of Superman. According to rumors, the creators of this character, Joe Shuster and Jerry Segal, cursed their own creation, because they were deceived by the company they worked for, they were not paid a cent. As a result, actor George Reeves, who played Superman in the series, committed suicide. Christopher Reeves, who played this character in later films, fell off his horse and was chained to the bed for 9 years. wheelchair. The actor died of cardiac arrest in 2004 ...

Another curse known in the acting community is associated with Poltergeist, a trilogy of horror films that began in 1982. A lot of mysterious rumors were born around the film due to the plot and the abundance of violent scenes. Whatever it was, but four members of the film crew, including 12-year-old actress Heather O'Rourke, died. According to rumors, the reason for the curse lies in the fact that in some scenes of the film, real corpses, human bones, were filmed.

There is also the so-called Tukums curse, also known as "" or "Presidential Curse". It is associated with a series of strange patterns that have to do with the deaths of American presidents who were elected to office in years that ended in zero (from 1840 to 1960). This curse is associated with President Harrison. When he was still governor, he tried to bribe the Indians and take possession of their lands. He succeeded in capturing the Indian village of Tecumseh on the banks of the Tippecane. The leader's brother was a prophet, he cursed the official and predicted his death during the reign. The curse has also been placed on all presidents up to the 7th generation, who will be elected, like Harrison, in a year that ends in zero.

There are curses associated with gems. The most famous of them is . According to legend, the diamond was stolen from the forehead of an Indian idol in the 17th century. The templars placed a curse on the stone that was in effect for several centuries. Some time after the theft, the stone came to a Frenchman - a dealer in precious stones, who was attacked by stray dogs and tore it apart.

But before his death, the merchant managed to give the diamond to the King of France, Louis XIV. All the women who wore this stone died. The jewelers who cut it died under strange circumstances. A sad fate befell the Minister of Finance, who tried to appropriate the stone for himself - he ended his life in prison.

Scientists refute the version that a curse was placed on the diamond, and, allegedly, this whole story was invented in order to create fame for the diamond and make it more profitable to sell it. But who would like to have a cursed stone - it is not clear ...

As with superstition, most curses can be attributed to simple bad luck or unfortunate circumstances. However, there are also such curses that are difficult to explain with something like this and one can only hope that you will never encounter them.

Egyptian pyramids have always been credited with supernatural powers. Their very appearance was explained by different versions, up to the participation of extraterrestrial forces. Many still believe that the construction of such structures was beyond the power of the ancient Egyptians and it was hardly possible without aliens. As for the tomb of the famous pharaoh Tutankhamun, who ruled Egypt at the end of the 14th century BC, one of the most famous curses is associated with the discovery of this tomb.

The tomb was discovered in 1922 by the English Egyptologist Howard Carter. Almost immediately, all the world's print media reported that the inscription in the tomb, deciphered in hieroglyphs, said that "Death on swift wings will overtake anyone who touches the pharaoh's grave", i.e. actually sent a curse on anyone who dares to disturb the eternal sleep of the pharaoh. In order for the curse to be believed, it did not take the mass death of the entire expedition. It was enough that Lord Carnarvon, who financed Carter's excavations, died after being bitten by a mosquito, which caused blood poisoning and subsequent pneumonia.

For reference, Lord Carnarvon was personally present at the opening of the tomb. Then there were the deaths of the Egyptologist Georges Benedite and the half-brother of Lord Carnarvon. True, Carter himself died of natural causes at the age of 66 in 1966. Alan Gardiner also lived a long life, translating the inscriptions in the tomb. As well as Douglas Dery, who examined the pharaoh's mummy.

Why the curse spared the people who were most responsible for opening the tomb, and overtook those who did the pharaoh "less harm" remains a mystery. Either the curse has weakened after so many centuries and works selectively, or it didn’t exist at all - everyone decides for himself. But I, being on a tour of the Egyptian pyramids, decided not to climb into the tomb of Tutankhamen, you never know ....

Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse... What do all these people have in common? All of them were famous musicians who played rock and blues music. All of them had a great influence on the formation and development of these musical styles. And all of them, unfortunately, died at the age of 27, sometimes under rather strange circumstances. This is how the popular curse of the 27 Club, also called the Forever 27 Club, appeared.

Oddly enough, but the image of a superhero in the cinema in reality played a cruel joke on the people who embodied him on the screen. Actor George Reeves, who played Superman in the television version, committed suicide, and actor Christopher Reeves, who embodied the heroic image in the early film versions of the comic, fell off his horse and remained paralyzed for the rest of his life.

The Superman Curse is said to have been imposed by the creators of the character, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, in retaliation for the fact that, in their opinion, they were not paid enough for their work. Whatever the reasons, but many actors are still wary of this role and often refuse it, despite the great popularity of this comic book hero.

One of the most famous and influential families in America turned out to be the owner of one of the most famous curses. Very often, members of the Kennedy family became victims of tragic cases. John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated. John F. Kennedy Jr. died in 1999 in a plane crash. Joseph Kennedy was assassinated during World War II. Edward Kennedy had his leg amputated at the age of 12. Michael Kennedy died in a skiing accident. Such is the tragic chain of deaths and accidents, which all the time fuels interest in this leading American dynasty.

A whole chain of unhappy lives and tragic deaths is associated with this stone. The diamond was stolen by a certain Tavernier during his trip to India. And it was stolen not from anywhere, but directly from the forehead (according to other versions, from the eye) of the statue of the Hindu goddess Sita. A very rash move, isn't it? Taverne sold the diamond, but this did not save him from a terrible death - he was torn to pieces by wild dogs in Russia.

Another owner of the stone, King Louis XVI of France, was executed along with his wife, Marie Antoinette. The last owner of the Hope Diamond was Mrs. McLean. Despite the fact that she strongly denied the existence of the curse, the facts speak for themselves. Her marriage was unhappy and ended in divorce, her brother died early, her nine-year-old son died under the wheels of a car, and her twenty-five-year-old daughter died of a drug overdose. Poor Mrs. McLean could not stand the blows of fate and died at the still rather young age of sixty. Now the handsome rich blue color can be admired at the National Museum of Natural History in London. And you remember, you should not grieve the gods (even if they do not belong to your religion) and deprive them of statues of precious stones, otherwise, after all, what a misfortune can happen, you won’t pray with any prayers later!

The "Little Bastard" Porsche Spyder entered the list of curses after movie icon James Dean died in it on September 30, 1955. The car accident was the result of a collision with another car. Dean's friend and mechanic was thrown out of the car and survived, while Dean was wearing a seat belt and breaking his neck. The Porsche was bought by automotive designer George Barris for $2,500. When the wrecked car was brought to his garage, the Porsche broke loose and fell on a mechanic who was unloading the car. The poor mechanic had a fracture in both legs.

The Bjorktor runestone belongs to a group of stones found in Bleking, Sweden, and dates back to the 6th century AD. The height of the stones reaches 4.2 meters. Some stones stand in circles, others stand alone. It is written on the Bjorktor Stone that anyone who tries to break it will be doomed to an insidious death. According to legend, once the correctness of this curse was inadvertently tested by a man who wanted to free up more space for his household and tried to destroy the stone. He wanted to heat the stone and destroy it with cold water. In absolutely calm weather, at the first attempt to light a fire around the stone, a gust of wind suddenly arose and threw the fire first on the hair, and then on the person’s clothes. The poor thing died in terrible agony, and the fire near the stone was extinguished as if by a wave of an invisible hand. Such is the eternal, inviolable "pebble"!

After the sale of player Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees in 1920, the Boston Red Sox fell victim to the Bambino Curse that the Bostonians never won a World Championship until 2004. When they did manage to do so, a total lunar eclipse occurred right during the game.

This curse was cast on the Chicago Cubs team by Greek immigrant Billy Sianis, who came to watch the game between the Chicago Cubs and the Detroit Tigers at Wrigley Stadium. Billy came not alone, but with his favorite goat. Although they were initially allowed into the stadium and even allowed to watch part of the game, at the request of the Chicago Cubs team owner, Phillip Knight Wrigley, they were still kicked out of the stadium, citing a bad smell from the animal. The outraged Greek is said to have cast a curse on the team that not only caused the Cubs to lose that game and the 1945 World Tournament, but to subsequently be relegated to the second division of the National League. And Philip Knight Wrigley allegedly received a letter from Billy asking: “And who stinks now?”

William Henry Harrison became president in 1840. Harrison's campaign slogan was the death of Indian chief Tecumseh, whom he personally killed in 1813. It is said that before his death, the leader cursed all US presidents who would be elected to this position in the zero year. In a strange (or justifiable) coincidence from then until the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980, every 20 years a president who was elected in a year with a zero at the end died during his presidential term. Namely, Harrison in 1840, Lincoln in 1860, Garfield in 1880, McKinley in 1900, Harding in 1920, Roosevelt in 1940, and Kennedy in 1960. There was also an assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan, but he survived.
