1. Pre-filter... Looks like a mesh sponge, very easy to blow through. Retains only very large particles of dust, wool, lint. It will not clean the air well, but it is still necessary for very polluted rooms.
2. Fine filter... Looks like a frame with microporous material. Attracts medium to fine dust particles.
3. Photocatalytic filter... Eliminates the air from mold spores, dust mites, various fungi. Must be in a quality device.
4. HEPA filter... In principle, it should be installed in all quality air purifiers. Removes the smallest particles such as pollen, skin parts and other allergens. Essential for complete cleaning.
5. Carbon filter... It removes harmful bacteria and viruses from the air, additionally cleans the air with high quality.
6. Electrostatic filter... Thanks to its device, it attracts dust to itself. It is not necessary to replace it, it is enough just to periodically rinse it. Can remove not all dirt, but works great in combination with other filters.
7. ULPA filter... It is not so common, but it purifies the air by almost 100%. More perfect than HEPA.

The larger the filters in the air cleaner, the longer they work at maximum efficiency, the less often they need to be replaced. LG PuriCare: he knows what to do

An important feature of the South Korean air cleaner LG Puri Care AS60GDPV0 are air quality sensors. One monitors the presence of fine dust in it with a size of 1 micron, and the other checks for extraneous odors and gaseous pollution. Based on the data of these sensors, Smart-mode works: the air cleaner independently optimizes its work - it selects the cleaning intensity.

Air enters the purifier along the entire circumference of the body - so, according to Koreans, the purification process is faster. In Booster mode, a special additional fan is activated at the top of the device, which helps to quickly spread clean air throughout the room.

Air purifier LG Puri Care AS60GDPV0. Designed for 58 m². Cost - 59,000 rubles

The pre-filter retains coarse dust, the high-performance HEPA filter (LG does not provide information about its class) - fine, plus a special filter insert frees it from odors and gaseous contaminants. The filters are not as big as those of the IQAir, but the purifier itself is smaller. The manufacturer reports that filter replacement is required every 1-2 years. Air purifiers are designed to clean air in rooms of different sizes. Often it can be 50 or even 100 m². So what? Is one cleaner enough for the whole apartment? No: manufacturers always have ideal conditions in mind - no interior walls, closed doors or anything else that interferes with air distribution. In an ordinary apartment, if this is not a "studio" type housing, all this is difficult to implement. So you have to install a purifier in every or almost every room if you want the maximum effect - clean air everywhere.

Boneco H680: cleansing and moisturizing

Having created a bladeless fan with Air Multiplier technology a few years ago (air "blows" through a special circuit), the British seem to have decided to squeeze the maximum out of it. In addition to the humidifier, which we are talking about, they created on its basis another device in which heating and air purification were added to the fan function - Dyson Pure Hot + Cool.

The air purification system is classic here: a H13 class HEPA filter catches fine dust, bacteria, pollen, viruses and other allergens. Allergy sufferers and asthmatics can safely use this cleaner - the model has passed special certification.

In addition to cleaning the air at any time of the year, you can turn on the heating mode in cold weather, and in summer you can use Pure Hot + Cool as a fan. The official website, however, says that it cools, but this is a marketing exaggeration - there is no air conditioning function here. It is also convenient that there are two modes of air propagation - directional and diffuse.

Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2: Inexpensive But Cool

With this air purifier - Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 - an interesting story: it seems to be in Russia, but it seems like it is not. That is, you can buy it, including in Russian online stores - there are dozens of offers on Yandex-Market. But, as RDC GROUP explained to us (this is the official representative and distributor of Xiaomi in Russia), these air cleaners are not yet supplied to our country through their channels.

However, the model is interesting - like many other Xiaomi products - in terms of characteristics and price-quality ratio. Minimalist design. Dirty air is sucked in from four sides (in fact, like the Korean LG PuriCare, only the "Chinese" has a less rounded body). The maximum cleaning rate is 310 m³ of air per hour: in about 10 minutes you can clean the air in a room of about 20 m².

The cleaning system is traditional. First, a preliminary plastic mesh - for coarse dust. And also receive information about air quality, temperature and humidity at home, about the need to replace filters. It is very cool that Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 can be bought in Russia for 8,500-9,000 rubles - this is an excellent price for such functionality.

- If space allows - use an air purifier with large (volumetric) filters: these work longer with maximum efficiency.
- Do not forget to regularly change those filters in the purifier that require it - over time, their effectiveness decreases.
- For the effect to be most noticeable - install an air purifier in each room of the apartment where you spend a lot of time (bedroom, living room, nursery).
- Air is cleaned most quickly in completely isolated rooms, but periodic ventilation should not be neglected.
- Use the capabilities of remote control, if provided - it is convenient and will optimize the operation of the purifier, extend the life of the filters.
